Visitors

Welcome

~ Every Visitor is truly an Honored Guest ~

We would be honored to have you come and worship with the Church that meets at 4th and P. We are a small congregation striving to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth. We follow the pattern of the New Testament Church set forth in God's word. That pattern included specific acts of worship, which are listed below. If you have any questions about our worship services please feel free to contact us. We would be more than happy to answer any questions you might have.

Acts of Worship

Praying

Together the congregation bows their heads as individual men offer up prayers to God.

(I Timothy 2:1)

Singing

As the scripture states in Ephesians 5:19, together the congregation speaks in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs,

singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord. Our singing is acapella.

The Lord's Supper

Every Sunday we partake of the communion in remembrance of the Death, Burial, and Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The communion consist of the Lord's Body (unleavened bread) and his Blood (fruit of the vine), which are a remembrance of his body that was broken, and the blood that was shed on the cross.

(I Corinthians 11:23-30)

Giving

Upon the first day of the week (Sunday), the congregation gives as God has prospered them. The giving collected is used for the work of the Church and those that are in need.

(I Corinthians 16:1-2)

Preaching

All sermons are bible based and come solely from the Word of God. The purpose of the sermon is to provide spiritual food to the congregation through, exhortation, teaching, and admonishing.

(2 Timothy 4:2)

Our current preacher if Bro. Thomas E. Garner Jr.
